A Hole in Kansas

So I have unofficially started golfing. Yes, that's right: golf. Of course it's only in my living room. And I'm not using a ball. But I am swinging a club. (Don't worry - all of our lamps are intact, and fortunately I can't make a divet in the carpet.)

With the aptly-titled Golf for Dummies DVD, I've started honing my skills. The lessons are good but some of the details are a bit confusing. Like does swinging on the plain mean I have to move to the Midwest? And how do you keep your balance if you have to swing with your toes up?

The DVD is full of good tips though - for instance, how you don't give lessons to your spouse to maintain peace in your marriage, and how to find a little song to help give your swing some rhythm (mine: "The Hokey Pokey").

So now armed with my fledgling swing, I'm headed out to the driving range. All ye golfers, you have been warned!
