Emotional baggage
Before we began to pack, there were piles of junk everywhere, which we planned on clinically decimating. The move was going to be a catharsis where we shed a decade of clutter, a liberation of space and mind!
But after the we started the first box, these same junk items magically transformed into mementos, pieces of history, works of art. It’s like they have some devil power that heightens their value the nearer they get to a trash bag.
Oy.

Have you been watching Hoarders on A&E? Take the time and watch online or something. It’s so worth it. I wish I’d had somethig like that when I had to downsize Mom’s house. One of the few motivating tv shows out there.

Thank goodness we watched that show. At our worst, our house has never looked like that so it was a comfort. However, as we watched it, Suzanna diligently tossed out massive amounts of junk. Very motivating. :)

When Armageddon comes all those little bits and larger bits will all be in the streets.
